Trailblazer Games adds a Lead Game Designer and Project Manager to the fold

We’re happy to announce two further hires who’ll play a key role in delivering the Eternal Dragons saga.

Arelíus Arelíusarson (Lead Game Designer) and Tom Mitcham (Community, Growth and Project Management) take our core team to 15, with more top tier talent on their way soon.

Arelíus Arelíusarson — Lead Game Designer

Born in 1975 in Iceland, Arelíus started playing games before his 5th birthday and has never looked back.

Completing a bachelors in Computer Science with an emphasis on game development Arelíus has worked as a Game Designer since graduation in 2013, working for Solid Clouds and later for Gameforge. At Solid Clouds he led game design for one of the best ranked 4X Games: Starborne.

In his youth, Arelíus was a sponsored Magic the Gathering player for two years, competing at the highest level in tournaments across the globe. His all-time favorite games are Civilization, WoW, Slay the Spire, Hearthstone, Team Fortress 2, Overwatch, Magic: the Gathering, Settlers of Catan, Risk Legacy, Texas Hold’em Poker, and FIFA.

Arelíus has already been thoroughly exploring web3 games the last year and is super excited to bring the vision of Eternal Dragons to reality.

Tom Mitcham — Growth Operations & Project Management

A versatile Project and Product Manager, Tom has over 15 years corporate experience in a variety of roles.

In 2020 Tom combined his love of gaming with his career, taking a Head of Product role at Footstock, an innovative Fantasy Sports Operator. In 2021 he moved on to bigger things with Scout Gaming Group, owner of Fanteam — Europe’s largest Daily Fantasy site. Acting as Head of Real Money Games and Innovation, Tom led game development and continuous improvement across b2b and b2c products.

Given Tom’s recent experience in growing startups and quickly developing companies, he understands how valuable his versatility is. He will support the Growth and community team, especially on the communications side, but also develop the web product.

Tom Mitcham

Away from the laptop Tom is a keen golfer, poker player and family man based in the UK. He fell in love with the NFT space in early 2021, even purchasing his dream home thanks to a particularly lucrative mint, and is overjoyed at the Eternal Dragon challenges to come.

Outlook

As you can see the Trailblazer Games team is growing quickly while focusing on attracting top quality talent.
