Eternal Dragons launches Alpha 0.1 Christmas Tournament

Shortly after the Alpha Release, we have another surprise for you! An exciting tournament is coming to Eternal Dragons just in time for the Christmas Holidays! Starting on the 23rd of December, the community can play Quest Mode, show off their skills, and compete for prizes! The scores will be visible in the Leaderboard, making it easy to see who is at the top and knows best how to fight with dragons!

Quest Mode

The Quest Mode is a survival game mode where your goal is to deal as much damage as you can to your opponent. With your opponent at 500 life is it even possible to defeat the enemy and win the mode? You tell us!

The difference to Dungeons and Hard Mode is that in these your opponents pick a strategy and stick with it, while in Quest Mode your opponents evolve theirs continuously so keep on your toes!

The Quest Mode has three different AIs, each with twice as many teams as faced in Dungeons and Hard Mode! The further you progress, the harder it gets. Only True Dragoneers need to compete!

The Prizes

As the year is coming to a close and Christmas is around the corner, we wanted to create an exciting opportunity to play the game during the holidays with the possibility of winning some excellent gifts!

The top three players will win one of the scarce Genesis Eggs, and players in 4–10th place will win a Descendant Egg. For the player securing rank #1, the Genesis Egg will even be of Black or White affinity!

The Format

The tournament will run for 5 days. It starts on Friday, the 23rd of December at 09:00 CET and ends on Wednesday, the 28th of December at 08:59 CET. If this tournament proves to be successful and without major complications, we may offer future tournaments with prizes during this phase of the Alpha.

The Leaderboard

The rankings will work as follows. The highest weight has the stat Damage Inflicted. The second most important factor is the Rounds that are required to deal that amount of damage. If there is still a tie, then the last factor Health will be considered as the tiebreaker. The participants can play as often as they want within the timeframe of the tournament and their best score will be counted. The leaderboard will update itself regularly, so you can always check where you stand in comparison to the other community members. You can access the leaderboard here.

We’re all going to test our game together! Being the very first iteration of our game, we appreciate all the feedback, tips, and bug reports you can muster! Let’s go Dragoneers!

PS: With the launch of the Alpha and as we transition into the tournament phase, the Nesting program will be paused until further notice. There will be new ways of earning Eternium in the future. This week is hereby the latest week in which you can nest with the current setup and the final Nesting rewards will be paid out on Wednesday, the 28th.

Q: Who can participate in the tournament?
A: All Genesis Holders can participate for free.

Q: When is the first tournament exactly?
A: The first tournament will run from the 23rd of December at 09:00 CET until the 28th of December at 08:59 CET.

Q: How do I participate in the tournament?
A: You will automatically participate in the tournament by playing Quest mode and having set up a user account. Remember that you must play your matches in the timeframe in which the tournament is running.

Q: How will the prizes be distributed?
A: Prizes will be paid out within 5 working days. Please raise a ticket with your username if you rank in the top 10.

Rules

To be eligible to participate in this tournament, your account must have at least one wallet connected in the profile section, before the tournament ends.
Combined, the wallets connected to your account should have at least one Genesis Dragon in them, at all times, from your first game in the tournament until the end of the tournament.
If your account doesn’t have any wallet connected in the profile section, it will be considered ineligible to participate and will be marked with a star “ * “ in the leaderboard.
If your account doesn’t have a profile picture set, you are not eligible to receive a prize.
We will confirm eligibility before giving out the prizes based on blockchain data and battle logs.
